Registering for Services
What happens after I provide SDRC with documentation?
You will be required to register for services by meeting with an SDRC
staff member to discuss your documentation and the accommodations that
you are eligible for. If the SDRC needs additional documentation, the
staff member who meets with you will inform you during this meeting.
You will also be asked to fill out a Request for Services form that
includes your address and phone number. It is best to call SDRC at 644-9566
or come by the office to set up an appointment, but you may be able
register for services as a walk-in if a staff member is available. After
you fill out the Request for Services form and meet with a staff member,
you will be officially registered with SDRC and you will be able to
utilize the services you are eligible for.
I'm registered for services - now what?
Once you are registered for services with SDRC, it is your responsibility
to ask for and arrange or participate in arranging any reasonable accommodation
that you need, assuming that you are eligible for that service. SDRC
staff will be happy to assist you in making accommodations or answering
any questions that you have, but it is up to you to make sure that the
arrangements for any accommodation are taken care of in advance. See
the section titled Services Provided for details on arranging accommodations.
